The Performing Arts Initiative
- Middle School and High School Girls officially began in January 2008. Once a week 15 - 20 young ladies aged
5th grade thru high school gather to pray, dance, Each session begins with a meal. The young ladies sit around the table family-style and discuss school, their day and home life. After dinner, the ladies "circle-up" for a Bible study session led by one of the leaders. Theladies learn how to enhance their character through the examples in the Bible and Christ and how to become positive role models for their friends and siblings. Upon completion of the weekly Bible study, the ladies break into two
groups. Half of the group goes upstairs in the sanctuary to dance while
the others work on crafts. The girls going upstairs dance to positive
music that teaches Godly morals. They perform about once every two months
at Seeds of Hope Church and other places in Pittsburgh. The girls participating
in crafts create items that can support the girls dance performance, be
used as community giving within EVO or to those in the community such
as nursinghomes and children's facilities. If you would like for your daughter or know of a young lady that would
