We welcome college, high school and adult groups who want to come serve at EVO for a limited period of time. Opportunities to help out abound in our after-school, Kidz Camp, Summer Day Camp, and construction programs.

A group of students from Carnegie Mellon University spent a week during their Spring Break to participate in an Urban Plunge organized by Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. The plunge was headquartered in Friendship House. The students learned about ministry in the inner city and served many children in the after-school and Kidz Camp programs.

Other groups have come with the goal of a missions experience with the purpose to serve. Many of these groups have blessed EVO with many hours of physical labor to improve our amenities in order for our ministry to function better.

The following group of 12 young men from the western suburbs of Chicago and Life Church came to Pittsburgh for 5 days to offer their services as they worked on the church and Friendship House. Activities included: tiling the entry way, refinishing the 2 sets of double doors, cleaning up the hedge bushes in the front, installing hot water heaters in the men's and women's bathroom, and painting the exterior of Friendship House.
