EVO is a recognized 501©3 non-profit through the IRS. Resources of our funding come from three primary sources:
The Department of Education, through the State of Pennsylvania, offers $500 per child for tutoring to be given to the site of tutoring. This application is circulated at the time of registration. The Supplemental Education Service plan offers $1818.47 fo each child that is tutored 50 hours throughout the year. There are at least 15 children enrolled in this program for the 2005-2006 school year. Further grants that are in process include the grable Foundation, Heinz Endowment, Pitcairn-Crabbe Foundation, the local banks on Liberty Avenue, Mellon Foundation, Scaiffe Foundation, and others. EVO is also in the planning stages of a Capitol Campaign Drive for a
building fund. We desire to have a multi-purpose building that can be
used as a gymnasium/church that would allow for maximum use in meeting
hte needs of the community. This building would offer the youth a safe
place to hang out and have fun while offering the community a place of
worship. |
