The staff and interns
of Earthen Vessels Outreach are all mentors and
role-models for the children of the neighborhood that they serve.
The following are brief bios of the people who have been behind the EVO
initiative since its inception:
– The Rev. Dr. John Paul Chaney
- Chief Executive Officer
- BA in History from University of Cincinnati; 1975
- MA in Theology from Wheaton College,
Wheaton, IL; 1992
- Ordained December 3rd, 1995
- 7 Units of Clinical Pastoral Education
(VA Hosiptal Pittsburgh)
- Anglican Studies Degree (1994) and
Doctorate of Ministry from Trinity Episcopal School of Ministry,
Ambridge, PA; 2008
– Ms. Marilyn Chaney
- Director of Earthen Vessels Outreach
- BA in Education Aurora University
- MA in Education University of Pittsburgh
- Certified Elementary Education Teacher
Illinois and Pennsylvania
- Responsible to oversee programs and raise program and building support
for EVO
– Ryan England
- Director of Operations
- BS, MS Civil and Environmental Engineering
- Carnegie Mellon University 2005
- Directs renovation of Pacific Sanctuary
- Coordinates facilities, technology, and operations for all of EVO's
programs
- Assists with after-school and middle-school boys programs
– Ellen Marini
- Director of After-School Programming
- Bachelor of Fine Arts from Winthrop University (2006)

- Conflict/Resolution Training: National Association of Community Mediation
- Disaster Preparation Training: Red Cross-Promise to Prepare: Training

- Mentoring Certification: Mentoring Partnership of Southwest PA

- She served EVO as a full-time Americorps member for 2 years and now
runs the After-School Program and a weekly Arts & Crafts group for
girls
- She is also involved in the Wednesday night Worship Team for Seeds
of Hope Church
